He teaches as an assistant professor at the Department of International Relations at \u0130stanbul Medeniyet University. He also serves as Managing Editor of the Journal of Middle Eastern Studies (Ortado\u011fu Et\u00fcdleri). Temiz graduated from Beykent University with a degree in International Relations (2006) and holds an MA in Political Studies from Istanbul Technical University. He earned his doctorate from Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University\u2019s Atat\u00fcrk Institute for Modern Turkish History with a dissertation on \u2018The Rise of China and the Middle East: Chinese Foreign Policy Towards Iran, Israel and Turkey, 2001-2011\u2019 (2017). He has studied at Peking University Institute of International Studies and Shanghai International Studies University. His expertise covers Chinese foreign policy, China\u2013Middle East relations, T\u00fcrkiye-MENA relations, and East Asian politics.
