About Khairi Omar
Dr. Khairy Omar is an assistant Professor of Political Science, University of Sakaria. His work focuses on transitional politics and the development of political systems in transitional periods in the countries of the Horn of Africa, North Africa and Egypt after the January 25 revolution. He has published research and analysis in the Journal of Middle Eastern Studies, Arab Policies, Turkish Vision, and ORDAF. He has also made contributions at international conferences with papers on policy and the transitional situation in Libya. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Cairo University, working on the development of political parties and social movements and their relationship to political transformation in Africa and the Middle East.
