27jan17:0018:30The Arab Spring: 10 Years On

Event Description

The legacy of the Arab uprisings, ten years on since they erupted across the region, has been mixed. The journey towards democratization remains slow and there have been modest political, social and economic reforms in response to the protests.

This event, organized in partnership with the Al Sharq Forum, explores the fortunes of the countries at the centre of the Arab Spring and the challenges for reform that have since been compounded by more recent events including the COVID-19 pandemic.
