About Mürsel Bayram

Mürsel Bayram is an Associate Professor at the Social Sciences University of Ankara (SSUA) and currently leads the department of African Studies at the SSUA Institute for Area Studies. He completed his PhD at Kırıkkale University’s International Relations program. His research focus covers African political history and the role of international actors in Africa. He is the author of Une histoire diplomatique des États ouest-africaines (A Diplomatic History of West African States, Platanus, Ankara, 2020) and Çin-Afrika İş Birliği: Tarihsel Arka Plan ve Temel Dinamikler (China-Africa Cooperation: Historical Background and Main Dynamics, Afrika Vakfı, Ankara, 2022, 2nd edition), and the editor of Mağrib Diplomasisi: Kuzey Afrika Devletlerinin Dış İlişkiler Tarihi (Maghreb Diplomacy: The History of North African States’ Foreign Relations, Doğu Kütüphanesi, İstanbul, 2021).
