The emerging security and energy equation in the Eastern Mediterranean has been increasingly becoming a decisive dynamic for the MENA region. The growing disputes and competition over maritime zone boundaries due to the lucrative energy resources coupled with ambitious geopolitical supremacy aims of different parties have been shifting the center of gravity of regional politics, further exacerbating acute problems between various regional and international powers.
